Today, we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Rogers.
Born in North Carolina and raised in Sunny Florida, Patricia Rogers has spent 12 years in the US Military Army Reserves, and 29 years prior to retiring from law enforcement where she exited that stage as a Correctional Lieutenant.
Prior to retiring, Pat’s desire to be an entrepreneur led her to marketing Legal & Identity Theft Services for a Multilevel Marketing Company, LegalShield which allows her to protect individuals, families and business owners with affordable legal protection https://progers34.ladiesofjustice.com/.
Marketing the legal services at various networking events and businesses, inspired her to begin hosting her own annual conferences for entrepreneurs, startup entrepreneurs, retirees and for those who have started out as entrepreneurs, and lost vision of their “WHY!”
Pat knows that preparation is the key to succeeding in life and her commitment to take control of her own destiny prior to retiring, has set her on a path of successes that others only dream about.
Realizing the importance of “Branding”, Pat started her own company, Unity In Service, Inc. “Where People Need People” and she hosts annual conferences that allow Public Speakers to speak and sell from the stage. Other entrepreneurs participate as Sponsored Vendors to promote their products and services and Expert Panels are showcased to give entrepreneurs even more information on how to succeed as an entrepreneur in today’s economy.
Pat believes that investing in yourself is one of the greatest gifts that you can give to yourself first and then your family. Having achieved certificates in “Platinum Speaking Training” with International Powerteam USA, Founded by Bill Walsh and “The Business of Speaking”, with Women’s Prosperity Network has allowed Pat to achieve many accolades and awards since entering the entrepreneur arena.
Pat has been on stages with Bill Walsh, Erik Swanson, Nancy Matthews, Trish Carr, and Les Brown, since receiving her certifications for Public Speaker. Pat is living beyond her wildest dreams. Impacting lives on various platforms and in every arena that she embarks upon and is known as the “Social Butterfly!”.
Within two years of being an entrepreneur, Pat has been the recipient of Business ICON Award with International PowerTeam, founded by Renown Speaker Bill Walsh, Pat is recognized as a top leader in the Women’s Prosperity Network and an outstanding member of National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) now International Association of Women (IAW). She is a recipient of the Jean Lynch Award, by Woman On Fire, founded by Allison Harvey and recently received the Uncommon Leadership Award by Dr. Lie Lewis, of Women of Wealth Magazine. In March 2019, she was a recipient of an award for “100 Successful Women in Business” from the Global Trade Chamber of Commerce founded by Al Otero and Maria-Renee. Pat has been on several Live Interview Platforms and Blog Talk Radio shows spreading the message of how to “Host Effective Networking Events/Conferences”, since being in the entrepreneur arena.
One of Pat’s major achievements was her participation in the Compilation Book “Journey To The Stage, Vol. 3., with other entrepreneurs who overcame challenges that they turned into stepping stones to success. Pat is currently writing her own book so that the reader can be educated, inspired and positioned to receive even more riches as they learn some of the tips and strategies on “Hosting Effective Networking Events That Rock.”
Having discovered her gifts, talents, and hobbies and turned them into the business that she desired, Pat takes pride in guiding others to do the same through her consulting services and setting a platform for entrepreneurs to get added exposure, so that they can share their expertise with the world.
Napoleon Hill says it best, “One sound idea is all one need to achieve success.” Pat believes that Persistence, Perseverance = Prosperity!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?Wow! Great question and the truth be told the road has not been as smooth as I would like for it to have been. Some of the Challenges that I faced were:1) Changing my mindset from the Corporate America (employee) to the role of Entrepreneur.2) Discovering my own gifts, talents, and hobbies, so that I could be of service to others while monetizing my expertise to enhance my lifestyle.3) Overcoming the fears that comes with stepping outside of my comfort zone to try ideas that I believe will enhance my life and the lives of others.4) Understanding and setting up funnels that allows me to market the products and services that I provide online.

How would you describe the type of kid you were growing up?I am the last of eight children and growing up in my single parent home, I was known as the “black sheep” of the family. Coming up in a spiritual home, where many things like going to the movies, wearing pants, makeup, hoop earrings, and mini-skirts, dating and playing sports after school were not allowed.
These things were against the spiritual teaching, and I was known to live on the edge. I say on the edge because, I knew that I would get in trouble if I got caught, doing these things, but because our generation was different, it was hard not to want to fit in and be a part of what looked like the norm. So, I took chances and faced consequences later. I got disciplined a lot more than my siblings because in most cases I did get caught. Lol!
Personality wise, I was outspoken, because of my insecurities which kept me on the defense, I was insecure, and longed for attention. Although I possessed such strong characteristics, I was quite sensitive and because of my sensitiveness and longing to be loved, I was easily influenced by others.
As a child growing up in the church, I enjoyed singing and I had good talent as a lead singer in the choir. I always wanted to play the piano and my mother hired a pianist from the church to train me and I can remember going to two lessons and that was it. To date, I am not sure if the teacher stops showing up or if my mom could not afford to pay. I never questioned it, but it has crossed my mind from time to time. I graduated school and to get away from home at an early age, the military was a good choice for me.
That was life as a child but today as the “Professional, Leader, Public Speaker, Best Selling Author, Event Coordinator, Multilevel Marketer and Business Consultant, that I am, things are in my control and I can say that the impact that I make in the world and those whose lives I touch, have been remarkable.
Today, I can appreciate my past challenges because they have shaped me into the professional that I am. I believe that “challenges set platforms for success!”
I am living my best life, intentionally and on purpose, and the more I get to know the value that I have, the more fulfilling my life with so much more to come.
